Flash Forum

I just found another easy way to learn flash.

http://www.flashadvisor.com/forum/index.php

If you didn't like using youtube to find flash tutorials, here'a forum you can go to. It's divided up into different discussions: Advanced Flash, Design and Animation, Flash Scripting, General Flash, and Sound & Music. I hope this site will be helpful to you all.

take care!

Flash Tutorials

I'm sure many of you are like me, and have never used flash before this class. I have found that the seemingly limitless options are super intriguing...yet terrifying at the same time. Of course, as I use it, I get more comfortable. I have found two great Flash tutorial websites that might help you out in bettering your skills or just making more pleasant pieces with flash...

Inspiration

I've come across a few sites that have lists of inspirational and greatly designed websites. I find that even though they are mostly CSS/Flash, they help with the process of getting my creative juices flowing. Maybe you'll see something you like, too. Here's an example:

Also, a website titled "Design Your Way" hosts a "Weekly 30 Inspirational Websites" that I find very helpful and interesting to look through. Check out the main Archive HERE.

If you're interested in a particular entry, just click the title of it, or "Continue reading"...or click this link for an example: Weekly 30 Inspirational Websites #21

(Browsing through these sites is also a reeealllyy good way to pass empty time away...)

Free Pictures

Don't know if you guys have ever heard of stock.xchng, but it's a great place to get free images. Sure you can just google pictures but you don't want to accidentally infringe any copyright laws. Better safe than sorry! The people on stock.xchng are fellow designers who don't mind sharing their works free of charge so you can use them for wallpapers, illustrations, in your website designs, etc.

World of Colors

I found this site called Colors on The Web. It basically has a color wizard which allows you to choose a base color, and it automatically returns matching colors for the base color that you selected. It has all the web colors and their codes. I used this for my project. It is a very good source for experimenting with colors and having a great color scheme going.

The link for the website is:  http://www.colorsontheweb.com/colorwizard.asp

 Try it!!
